What to Expect

Your First Visit (allow 45-60 minutes for this visit)

Patient Forms:

Upon entering our office our Front Desk team member will greet you and welcome you to our office. You will be requested to fill out our patient forms. You may download the forms (found in our New Patient Center and fill them out prior to your visit if you choose). The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition.

Consultation:

Next you will have a consultation with Dr. Mark Lesko to discuss your health-related problems and concerns. Your first visit is designed for Dr. Lesko to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care will meet your goals. In the process Dr. Lesko will explain how chiropractic care works so you can have a better understanding this type of care does.

After your consultation, Dr. Lesko will perform a through chiropractic examination testing your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard neurologic, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to get a full evaluation of a patient. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. Only Dr. Lesko will be able to tell you whether x-rays will be necessary for your specific condition. He will determine this after doing your exam.

Your Second Visit (allow 60 minutes for this visit)

Report of findings:

Once all the information and examinations have been performed, Dr. Lesko will give a report of findings to answer the four most popular questions:

1. What is wrong with me?
2. Can I be helped?
3. How long will it take?
4. How much will it cost?

After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing your x-rays and tests, Dr. Lesko will discuss recommendation with you. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If Dr. Lesko believes Chiropractic can help you, he will recommend a treatment program.

Treatment:

Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment at the conclusion of their second appointment (Dr. Lesko determines when this happens during your first visit after doing your exam).

Dr. Lesko may also feel it is necessary to include modalities, and / or soft tissue therapies as part of your treatment. We have various team members on staff available to perform these therapies when needed.
